I will dominate 'legitimate fighter' Paul - Anthony Joshua
Anthony Joshua is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight-round match which will be shown in real-time on Netflix.
British boxer Anthony Joshua declared he will "dominate completely" the American and "overpower" his opponent as the pair met personally to promote the upcoming heavyweight fight.
Former two-time unified boxing king Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, theoretically, a mammoth mismatch - at Miami's Kaseya Center on 19 December.
Fighter's Mentality
"I plan to damage his features and hurt his body. My goal is to show I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35, stated.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I intend to really want to cause him pain. That's my goal."
Civil Interaction
In spite of such comments, a calm Anthony Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - normally famous for his dramatics - shared friendly words and maintained decorum with each other.
Paul rather criticized former Joshua rival Francis Ngannou and called him "a joke" after Ngannou declined a fight offer.
Targeting Tyson Fury
Joshua, at the same time, criticized British opponent Fury - and refused a large bet 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a Paul win.
"Jake Paul outshines Tyson Fury - he's present here," the boxer commented.
"I give him credit for that."
Legitimate Opponent
In spite of saying he intends to hurt Jake Paul, Joshua chose not to comment unfavorably about his opponent's boxing ability.
"Jake is a credible opponent," he remarked.
Jake Paul's Background
Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has mostly fought mixed martial artists or declining opponents since becoming pro.
He lost to British fighter Fury in last year.
Commercial Success
However, the novice remains one of boxing's largest money-making draws, frequently receiving huge earnings.
Prediction and Belief
The 28-year-old forecast a knockout win in round four or five and claimed he would derail the long-awaited Fury-Joshua bout, which is allegedly under discussion for 2026.
"It will be my match with Fury in the coming year," Paul said.
